Wouldn't worry about Rotors, wrap them in bubble wrap to stop minor bumps But you need to be really careful with your Hydraulic brakes. If you press the brake while on wheel is off and no rotor to engage this will mess up your Hydraulic settings and you will need a bleeding kit to reset it. Some people put folded cardboard inserted where the rotor would sit and taping secure but you can  buy plastic spacers http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/hayes-plastic-pad-spacer-stroker-g2/rp-prod20019
