Saturday 12th December at Heathall Forest, Nr Dumfries.This event is the third and final round of the South of Scotland Youth Cyclocross Series.
Please Note: The race HQ for this event has been changed, and will now run from the old runway which is at the other end of Heathall forest, adjacent to the Aviation museum on Tinwald Downs Road.
Travelling from the North/M74: coming down the A701 when you get into Heathall and Locharbriggs as you pass the Tesco Metro/Esso petrol station on your left, turn left at the roundabout and follow signs for the aviation museum and the Industrial estate. Follow Tinwald downs road and as you approach the aviation museum you’ll see the old runway and event on the right-hand side.Approaching from the south/A75: From Dumfries and the A75 take the A701 at the roundabout in Heathall adjacent to the Tesco Metro/Esso Petrol Station take the second exit following signs for the aviation museum and industrial estate. Follow Tinwald downs road and as you approach the aviation museum you’ll see the old runway and event on the right-hand side.
Registration for the event opens at 10am, with the course open for practice from that time.
The first race will be at 11am, with a programme of events as follows:
11am – under 8’s & under 10’s;
11:15am – Under 12’s;
11:45am – Under 14’s & Under 16’s;
There might some slight alteration to this on the day depending on numbers of entries in each category.
